Building S'th swell later Friday, best early Saturday
Eastern Tasmania Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Wednesday 25th March)
Best Days: Later Friday, Saturday
Recap
A good kick in S'ly windswell to 2-3ft or so yesterday but with poor winds, while today a secondary S/SE swell on the back of the change kept fun and clean 2ft waves hitting the coast with the odd bigger set.
This week and weekend (Mar 26 - 29)
Tomorrow doesn't hold much hope for surf with tiny to flat waves while Friday, an intense low sitting to our west is due to move across us and aim a fetch of strong S'ly tending S/SW winds up past our coast.
The direction and longevity of this fetch isn't too favourable for any major size being generated but we should still see south facing beaches kicking to 3ft to nearly 4ft late in the day but with fresh and gusty S/SW tending SW winds.
Saturday the swell should ease back from 2-3ft across south facing beaches under better W'ly tending variable winds. Come Sunday there isn't expected to be any major swell left with clean easing 1-2ft waves from the SE.
Longer term there's nothing significant on the cards, so try and make the most of Saturday's swell.
