Great Saturday, small peaky NE windswell Tuesday morning
Eastern Tasmania Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Friday 3rd October)
Best Days: Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday
Recap
Tiny waves continued yesterday, but today a new S'ly swell has filled in, and while it didn't show much size early, it should of kicked strongly to the 6ft range at exposed south facing breaks during the day. With winds tending NE across the northern half of the coast, selected locations should offered great waves.
This weekend (Oct 4 - 5)
Tomorrow is looking excellent across northern corners and south swell magnets as today's S'ly groundswell eases steadily from 3-5ft at south facing locations and 2-3ft at open beaches under fresh NW winds.
Come Sunday there isn't expected to be much size left with fading 1-2ft waves across south swell magnets with easing offshores.
Next week onwards (Oct 6 onwards)
A building and poor N/NE windswell is expected through Monday afternoon and evening, reaching 2-3ft across north-east facing beaches by dark with strong N/NE winds.
Tuesday looks fun with winds swinging offshore cleaning up an easing 2ft+ of swell across north-east magnets.
Unfortunately beyond this there's nothing major on the cards, so make the most of the S'ly swell tomorrow and NE swell early Tuesday. Have a great weekend!
