Still looking for the end of the flat spell, Coral Sea remains lifeless
Central QLD Forecaster Notes by Steve Shearer (updated on Fri 29th Dec)
This weekend and next week (Dec29-Jan5)
Central QLD: Still looking for the end of the flat spell, Coral Sea remains lifeless
Tiny/flat surf across the region.
No change to the outlook with a lifeless Coral Sea and very weak pressure gradients leading to very light winds in the CQ swell window and more tiny/flat surf over the weekend.
Similar outlook for next week- high pressure does move into the Tasman but weakens as it does so with only very light/non-existent trade-winds set up.
Therefore expect more tiny surf next week, possibly right through next weekend.
We’ll see how it looks Mon, but until then have a great NYE weekend and happy 2024!
