This week and next week (July10-Jul 21 )

Central QLD: A few small waves building from Thurs with more action next week

Tiny/flat surf look to build from Thurs as a new high pressure ridge builds up the QLD Coast. The high moves into the Tasman at roughly sub-tropical latitudes, with a reasonable ridge up the QLD Coast and some small, peaky swell developing likely into the 1-2ft range through Thurs.

Not a bad tradewind fetch for July, should be plenty of fun, small waves

Tradewinds developing in the Coral Sea over the weekend hold surf in the 1-2ft range across CQ with next week seeing surf up into the 2-3ft range  as high pressure and an angled low pressure trough sliding down from Vanuatu to Fiji produce a strong trade flow through the South Pacific Islands, with the edge of that fetch in the Coral Sea supplying small tradewind swell for CQ through to mid next week.

Check back Wed for the latest.
