Best Days: Every day this week and weekend, lay days next Tuesday/Wednesday

This week and weekend (Oct 29 – Nov 2)

The swell has ebbed and pulsed between the 5-6ft range at exposed breaks over the last few days, with one of those pulses yesterday now on the easing trend from the 4-6ft range.

Light variable winds have opened up plenty of options for a wave with weak S/SE winds due into this afternoon.

Similar pulses of S/SW groundswell to that of the last week will continue across Eastern Indonesia through the coming days and weekend, owing to persistent polar frontal activity between Heard Island and WA.

The biggest and best pulse is due tomorrow with exposed spots in Bali due to offer 6ft+ sets for most of the day before easing a touch through Thursday from 6ft or so and further down to 5-6ft on Friday.

Two final pulses of long-range and inconsistent S/SW swell are due through the weekend and this will keep exposed spots kicking in the 4-6ft range.

Winds should remain light and variable each morning with moderate to sometimes fresh E/SE trades through the afternoons (more so tomorrow and Thursday).

Next Monday onwards (Nov 3 onwards)

Into next week the swell will fade away, bottoming out through Tuesday evening and Wednesday to an inconsistent 2-3ft+ at super exposed breaks.

We should see some better swell activity into the second half of the week and following weekend as good amplification of the Long Wave Trough moves through the Southern Indian Ocean, aiming some stronger polar fronts towards us, but we'll look at this in more detail on Thursday.
