It’s gonna take quite a bit of effort to clean up conditions from today’s blow.
Primary tabs
With no new groundswell expected for the next few days, it’ll be slim pickings across all coasts. But next week has some good surf ahead.
There's not much to look forward to this week.
Sunday’s developing low east of Tasmania looks quite interesting, as it’ll remain slow moving, which will keep onshore winds across Victorian beaches through Monday.
There’s not a lot of juice left in the tank.
Easing swells are expected from Tuesday onwards, but the main issue we have for the short term - at least, west of Melbourne - is a developing south-easterly airstream on Tuesday that’ll veer gusty easterly into Wednesday.
A mid-latitude low is moving in from the west and will keep conditions favourable for longer today on the Surf Coast. There's also an improvement for the weekend.
There's a few fun windows of waves in between bouts of onshore winds. Get stuck in as mid-late next week looks slow.
It'll be mostly favourable for the beaches over the coming period with the local wind regime and incoming swells. The weekend will be generally poor, good early-mid next week.
Make the most of the current surf as we'll see smaller waves into tomorrow, with poor conditions Sunday/Monday along with a new mix of swells.
