The East Coast got hit by a sizeable swell on Saturday with some breaks around Sydney and Wollongong peaking at twelve feet at first light.

In the lead up to the swell a few surfers took the opportunity to warm up on the forerunners before the swell hit. Mark Matthews and friends honed in on the stretch of coast they thought they'd be surfing the next day. With the Cape a bit too rugged they nailed a few late ones at Middles, just up the coast.
