Last Thursday the Sydney coast was on the backside of a major swell event. The day previous had seen a 10ft+ swell smashing the coast beneath storm force winds, not the type of conditions conducive to great surfing. It was a matter of waiting for the swell and the wind to subside, 'cos as most who surf it know, Cape Solander is often great under abating conditions.

Present were the usual crew: Blake Thornton, Jesse Pollock, Dakota Abberton, and Evan Faulks, who, at least going on these photos, got the best of the sets.
