SurfGroms is a development program for 5-12 year old surfers administered and conducted by Surfing Australia. The goal is to teach groms strong ocean awareness and beach safety skills at an influential period of their lives.

During the recent school holidays Matt Withaar caught a SurfGroms class down at Manly Beach. Trustworhy parents left their little moppets in the capable hands of Matt Hoy(!), Tom Carroll (less his jet-ski) and Steph Gilmore.
