"The month of May has been a hard one over here if you are a surfer!" So said Western Australian photographer Mick Gullan. "The wintry conditions, big swells, and onshore winds have made it hard to find clean waves to surf."
"But the drought broke on Friday with solid 5-6 foot plus waves and offshore winds which was backed up on Saturday with 4-5 foot plus waves with offshore winds. Everyone must be in a warmer place as there were very small crowds, even though it is a long weekend over here."
