Following a couple of lay days early in the waiting period, the Rip Curl Pro Portugal managed to kick off in clean 3-5ft surf at the famed Supertubos on Saturday. The waves were initially small and inconsistent but improved throughout the day with some assistance from the incoming tide, producing a myriad of clean A-frame barrels.
