Quiksilver Pro France: Finals Day
Atrocious, just atrocious. That's be the best way to describe the surf for the finals of the Quik Pro France. A freshening northerly seabreeze whipped up the small beachbreaks putting paid to barrels and opening up the air game. Fitting then, that Gabriel Medina made it to the finals - his best result of the year - by going left and punting into the wind.
The main story, however, was the points breakdown for the World Title. Slater was ousted in the Quarters and with Fanning winning the competition he opens a big break on Old Baldy.
