Quiksilver Pro Day 5 - Finals
Only three heats were surfed at the Quiksilver Pro France on Day 5: two Semifinals and a Final. Victorious was Robert Kelly Slater, who picked up his 51st ASP World Tour win, and his first Quiksilver Pro France trophy
In pristine four-to-five feet A-frame barrels, Dane defeated John John in Semifinal 1. Set waves seemingly lagged for much of Semifinal 2, resulting in a low scoring affair, with Kelly getting the better of Parko.
The surf then pulsed again in the Final but Kelly managed to pick up a 9.33 and a 7.93 in the first ten minutes, leaving Dane trailing until the hooter sounded.
