PNG Trail Blazing
In recent years Australians have been visiting Papua New Guinea in increasing numbers to walk the Kokoda Trail, the WW2 supply trail that connects the northern and southern coasts. It's been a boon for the PNG tourist industry. At the same time, surfers have been venturing to PNG's northern shores and outlying islands blazing a new trail along one of surfing's last frontiers.
Jamie from the Perfect Wave recently visited and scored great waves. He stayed with Andrew Rigby, the owner and captain of the PNG Explorer, who also took these photos.//STUART NETTLE
