Held at the heaving Mexican beachbreak of Pascuales, the Pawa Tube Fest is a self-explanatory contest. Run during the three best days of a month-long waiting period surfers accrue points in a one-of-a-kind contest format that prioritises the pit.

Day One went off in a soild SSW swell with Pascuales legend Brian Conley (California) taking home the highest heat score of the day. Latin American charger Gabriel Villaran (Peru) and Nathan Hedge also scored big. The highest wave score of the day went to local talent Marcos"Chivito" Hootman showing everyone in the contest that, besides his young age (just 17 years old), he has already a deep knowledge of the break.
