P-Pass gets an A+
So far season 2010/11 is one that will go in the record books...
El Nino, La Nina, we will never know what and why but the fact is that the surf has pumped nonstop for almost half of our season. It started straight from the north in late September after a very slow summer. Once it began it did not stop, for what seemed like a never-ending stream of swell under good winds and weather.
Lots of places around the world are getting flooded with heavy rain or covered by snow. We got the good side of those storms as they have sent us beautiful days and perfect surf. As of today, late January it seems like the North Pacific has taken a break. The storm patterns have seemed to change for now and the trades are in. Time to change the oil on the boat motors and get ready for the next one. There is still 3 more months to go...//ALLOIS MALFATANI/POHNPEI SURF CLUB
