The New Blue
Scott Butcher often distorts the dimensions of waves with his photos. Shot without clear reference points to gauge their height the eye plays tricks when estimating the size and imagination takes over.
In this set he also skews the colours.
All of them shot in minimal light, yet it hasn't hindered the results but enhanced them. The waves absorbing the early morning light rendering them in colours found further down the spectrum.// STUART NETTLE
