"I haven't seen a better display of tube riding in all the years I've been shooting." So said Hayden O'Neill, the resident photographer at Pohnpei Surf Club of a recent session at Palikir Pass.

"It's been a really good two weeks here," said Hayden. "We've had swells up to six foot and down to four foot. Back-to-back fun sized swells with some bigger in between days!"

Hayden is from Victoria and has swapped the slow southern summer for peak season Pohnpei. "There's always a handful of guys in the water trading barrels daily. The best session so far was last Monday with only the guests here at Pohnpei Surf Club going wave for wave."
