While northerly winds were playing havoc with the Queensland and northern New South Wales coasts on Saturday, a lone stretch of sand was turning the energy from TC Victor into something magical. Despite the crowds (see last shot!) the word was the very best ones got away from everyone, such is the nature of this wave. Its inconsistency only matched by its shiftiness.
