Lobitos
Peruvian emigre, Ignacio 'Spud' Salazar, recently flew back to Peru to compete in the Big Wave World Tour contest at Pico Alto. The comp was cancelled due the lack of waves, but Spud manage to find some fun waves along the north coast of Peru.
"Peru has many world class lefthanders and this is one of them. The wave is called Lobitos and it's located 1000km north from Lima the capital of Peru. This beach was only created in 1998 after El Nino activity which buried the rocks in sand creating the most perfect, hollow barrels along the coast. It also has endless walls so you can make as many turns as you want. This is one of my backyards at home feel free to try it out!" //IGNACIO 'SPUD' SALAZAR.
