Laidback Grooves
Way back in the days of yore it was believed that a surfers style was their means of expressing themselves. That style was an outward manifestation of what the surfer was feeling inside.
Yeah, yeah, hippy clap-trap...
But maybe there is some truth in it, even if only in a literal way. Cause here we have Terepai Richmond, a fella who's provided some of the most laidback grooves in Australian music doing the aquatic equivalent: cutting a seriously laidback groove on a clean little peeler.
