A fellow named James Gibbon Huneker once said “Great art is an instant arrested in eternity” and I can't think of a more fitting quote when I look at these photos from Scott Butcher. Scott has been swimming in the Cronulla shorebreaks again freezing the beauty that passes us by. The lip of each wave hangs suspended and stationary while each ripple and surface undulation is so clearly visble that it becomes easy to forget that they are moving objects.// STUART NETTLE
