The Imperfect Storm
It wasn't quite Hollywood material...
A rapidly developing low pressure system in the southern Tasman Sea was predicted to deliver meaty five to six foot waves to Sydney and the South Coast yesterday. After a lean run of waves the swell was keenly anticipated.
Yet, for reasons unknown the system didn't quite live up to expectation. What we got instead was a well-lined up four foot swell at the south spots and pretty much nothing anywhere else. Still, there was the odd barrel if you knew where to look.
