Fiji Pro Day 3 photos
Let no-one say the floater is dead. It has it's time and place, and today, with a four foot and dropping swell at Cloudbreak, it was just the move to beat sections with danger and flair. When it's too fast to go to the air and too small to pull in what's a surfer to do? Well, Filipe Toledo unveiled numerous versions of the lipline-to-freefall floater in his heat against Kelly Slater. With his body in all sorts of contorted positions, young Toledo's surfing was radically dangerous, and it was an injustice that he lost the heat. Check Heat Analyser for a thoroughly entertaining contest.
