Cronulla
While many Sydney surfers long for east and north-east swells to flick the switch on their local breaks, there are certain outposts that favour Sydney's dominant swell direction - south. Cronulla is one of those spots. Whenever directional south swells move up the Tasman you can bank on at least one of its many reefs firing up.
On Sunday and Monday it was the old lady of the Shire, Cronulla Point, that put on a show through the low tide phases of the swell. Young Liam Walker trained his cannon at second reef and captured these images.
