Cape Solander - tight and slow
It was recently bought to our attention that it'd been almost a week since we'd run any shots of Cape Solander. Feeling duly chastised we called on our fave Solander shooter, Charlie Straumeitis.
Ol' Charlie takes a slightly divergent approach to most land-lubbing Cape photogs. Rather than pulling back and capturing the surrounds, Charlie packs the big lens and gets in tight on the action. So tight as to discern facial expressions, subtle body adjustments, and other moments lost in the scenery of a wide shot. He's even experimented with slow shutter speed with some of these shots.
All photos by Charlie.
