Best of 2014: Part 1
The year began in spectacular fashion: following a week of fresh pow in the Japanese mountains, I scored hollow wedges across nearby snow-lined shores, with nary a soul to be seen.
This was quickly followed by Noosa's best waves of the year during their Festival of Surfing week.
The middle of the year padded out with a quick trip to the cold waters of the south, then pumping reefs around home and an epic beachy surf not far from Sydney.
A Tasmanian day trip saw firing Shippies, and a few hit and run missions to the north and south finished the year off with a bang.
Here's to another great year of waves in 2015!
