Besides the Point
Earlier this week south-east Queensland was battered by persistent onshores from a mild Tasman Low. With the open beaches blown out everyone headed for the shelter of the points. Everyone, that is, except for Jarrah Tutton and Asher Pacey.
Jarrah and Asher - long-time friends - jumped a ski to surf an exposed and empty break on the southern Gold Coast. They had two sessions - Monday and Wednesday - both of which were caught by Brad Nielsen. With his lens trained against the wind and brolly shielding the rain Brad sat there for three hours watching them pick off the gems amongst the maelstrom.
