Swellnet For Lifeline Classic And Board Sale 2024
It's that time of the year again when we hold our annual Secondhand Board Yard Sale Fundraiser, with funds going to Lifeline Northern Beaches.
The Yard Sale is set for this Sunday at Freshwater Beach, just on the grass out front of The Pocket Cafe.
While also raising money for an important community resource, the Yard Sale also contributes to Swellnet's team score for the surfing event which will be run on the 17th of Novemeber this year.
The Yard Sale works like this:
- For sellers, rock up any time from 8:30am with your near new or used (not trashed!) board.
- We now have an online, pre-register page for your boards here.
- Otherwise, on the day we'll have two seperate tables, one for board registration and the other for sales.
- On arrival go to the registration desk to get your board stickered with your asking price.
- Leave the board with us and hang around or come back before 12pm to see if it sold to claim your cash.
- When you find a bargain, take that board up to the sales table and we'll grab your cash and note that the board has been sold to the seller.
- For buyers, there are always great bargains with all types of boards and shapes.
- For boards under $200, $20 will be donated to Lifeline, and for boards over $200, 10% of the price will go to Lifeline.
- Marty from Butterbox Cafe will be there, supporting us again.
- Also, CASH is preferred and makes it easier to pay the sellers through the day, though we will have EFTPOS facilities available.
So pencil in this Sunday, the 8th of September and grab a bargain for yourself or your loved one.
