Watch: Bobby Martinez // Home Cooking
His name has become shorthand for CT resentment, his name wheeled out whenever the Wozzle tacks towards mainstream, so it's good to be reminded how well Bobby Martinez can surf.
Here we see him around his Santa Babs home, in short left beachies and long driving rights at the Queen of the Coast.

Jeez he went to town on that last right-hander.
Good to see he's still out there tearing it up.
just a unrelated question kinda, but anyways, I have two sites for my surfing related fixes - Swellnet and Beachgrit. Just wondering why there is content lag sometimes?
I never have problems with Swellnet but Beachgrit and Stab are so friggen annoying.Idont bother looking anymore .
Content lag? Not quite sure what you mean.
Although it may appear ad-hoc, we do try to structure the delivery of content through the week, which means we may not run a video the day it comes out because we have something better/different about to be published, or perhaps we've already run a few videos in recent days. We also try to give our 'big' articles some breathing space - otherwise, if we simultaneously load up on other content, these pieces will slip down the page without making much of an impact.
TBH, there's not much incentive in running identical content on the same day as the other surfing sites.
But.. if it's any good, we'll almost certainly give it a run - we'll just try to present it within the best window for viewers.
Well played hand ben,
Those with grey hair have patience in regards to article.
Why send the article of the month by Stu net straight to the bottom of the page.
I remember recently you mention surf media reached peak saturation.
Keep up the drip feed.
Keep it that way please Ben. Who gives a rats arse if you see a clip a few days or week later?
Boiz boiz boiz. Not having dig at all. Was just wondering and Ben summed it up perfectly for me. Ta
Sorry Nick did not mean to come off so snappy. I just prefer well placed morsels to a gorgefest.
It's ok nick,
You have to understand some people actually went to surf contest to watch surfing live.
There was no live feed.
Surf Videos were rented time and time again from the video store.
Magazines were thick and informative.
We had no internet.
I remember computer class for me in year seven and eight was dos.
A black screen with green letters and numbers.
Some people didn't even have computers in school.
I grew up surfing waves, rather than "surfing the internet."
“I grew up surfing waves, rather than "surfing the internet”
This is fabulous...
just not sure if you typed that with a straight face or not?
Goofy ,
I was all smiles,
It's funny to watch people now days, every one walking around with the mini computers .
The age of distraction.
The guy has a great style.
Watched him surfing 2' JanJuc and couldn't believe how much this guy ripped, insane!!
The way he tore into that last right was as good as anyone on the WCT.
The Prophet Bobby M.
Reckon Bobby is happy to see his prediction come true?
Reckon you could surf with a loose and light-footed power like that and not be happy?
I’d pay for that left hand beach break!!!!
Ya know what, there's another thing about Bobby too...
Really nice guy. Friendly, non hassling, mellow dude when he surfed near us around here a few years ago. He even paddled down to another peak so as to not interrupt the regulars having their morning surf. Chatted away getting changed and was just over all happy and stoked. Shame more professional surfers don't have that same attitude.
But, holy fuck he ripped that day. He absolutely tore waves apart. It was a pleasure to watch.
What a bully! What did that Rincon wave do to deserve 40 vicious belts to the face?!!
