Gallery: East by north east
Now that the onshore winds have set in and we can give our sore bodies time to rest, I've put together a few shots from the recent moderate to large east-northeast swell event in and around Sydney.
You don't have to try hard to find pumping waves in southern NSW under this swell and wind combination, with nearly every beach and reef focussing the sweeping lines into freight-train lefts or shorter, sharper rights.
Winds were great from Sunday through until yesterday morning, and it's put a cherry on top of the already great start to winter.
