Nic Von Rupp puts a twist on Kerouac's 'On The Road', swapping bitumen for rail, knapsack for coffin bag, with the standard-gauge tracks being the passageways linking Nic's big wave sessions.
A beautiful piece of art . It captures the essence of travel & surf exploration.
And some very serious slabs to boot.

awesome film; so nice to get some feel for the experience - not to mention seriously heavy waves and nonchalant talent of Nic.

Epic - went on a short, cold water trip to bells a few weeks back, never really chased too many cold water waves, or at least not for a long time, but it's got its own kind of magic for sure and that clip got that essence - beautiful - thanks

Yep, it's a great way to get away from the crowds; go somewhere cold. Spare a thought for the good people of Oregon though. Water temp is 11 deg at the moment there and it's the middle of summer! About the same latitude as Tasmania so not that much closer to the pole than Victoria.

Great clip with great surfing, beautifully filmed and edited with an interesting theme.

My Heroes! Got me pumped to try a lot harder and push myself more out of my comfort zone to end any day with no, or less regrets.

There was a clip a while back where a couple of Hawaiian big wave guys were in Japan chasing "Curren's" wave. They were so jaded, entitled and lacking perspective that I could feel my stoke being sucked out of me while I watched.
This guy on the other hand has a great outlook on life. The sort of guy most people would be happy to share their local spot with. Good vid. 8/10 on the Spuddups scale.

Some seriously heavy water right there, and in the cold. Props to him.
