Watch: Whip in 'Chase'
Lotta diversity in this clip from Whip Dennis. Firstly, there's a good use of angles - water, land, air, and PWC - and also a fair spread of locations - southern NSW, South Australia, Norfolk Island, and Tahiti. The only thing that's uniform all the way through are big waves, heaving barrels, and an indifference to danger.
And that's no criticism at all.

No doubting his skill and commitment.
To video producers, for god's sake, if they are paddling in I want to see that. I want to watch what they do, how they do, see it for myself. I'm never going to go out in those conditions but if it's 3-4 feet and breaking fast I want to see how they do it so I can try it.
He seemed to be paddling into a few of those at least, so just show the first 3-4 seconds, better still with a bit of slow-mo, I'm sure I'm not the only one interested in edumacating myself. These guys are cutting edge.

I know it's the era of short attention spans and all that but when they edit the hell out of those clips it loses all suspense and just starts to wash over you.
I want to see him paddle in. For that matter, I want to see him get properly hammered too.
Pretty bad form using a drone at at least one of these spots..surely by now everyone knows about the ospreys. Even though i reckon this footage is quite old..begs the question why bring it out now?
Feeling the sponsorship pinch?
Love the South Australian desert barrels, all welcome bring all your mates with you and camera's and drones and have a Momumentous time. The white pointers are getting hungry
at this time of the year, dont get stuck on The Island !
No drones allowed !
I dont get it? edit out the beginning and the end of nearly every wave(including the jet ski pulling in by the looks) . Bring a massive entourage to off the radar spots, drones in sensitive environmental areas as mentioned above. Grade A wanker
Ditto paddle footage
Supposing the drone footage of the surf break with the endangered osprey nest off the cliff is filmed by kane overall, If i remember correctly that is also seen on his instagram account too, about a year ago or more possibly. Kane did agree to not fly the drones there again apparently but its a pity this footage has just been released as it may encourage more droners at that spot trying to emulate these heroics. Footage taken before the officially reported 'drone ban' can't be stopped. Since its now well known that the osprey have the law on their side and the usual suspects camera filmers have been warned it would be better that this footage isnt shown. At least if it is shown then they should point out to the viewers that they were breaking laws and there is now a widely known ban for everyone on this drone type film technique and nobody else should do the same thing. Unfortunately these people couldn't give a fk. Wheres the priorities? Dont cause an abandoned nest in the near future.Give the osprey a break peoples, stop harassing them, flying a drone or walking out to overlook them.Just don't do it, let the osprey live in peace without your pesky human disturbance.
Surf and get barreled the osprey are happy.Forget the specialty film angles and climbing above the nest and the waves. Eddie the Eagle
Keep the Fn drones away from my majestic Ospreys. If the east coast wannabes haven't already scared them off as in other places. Getting a bit sick of the self promotion of semi- pros exploiting some of these remote locales.
That clip would still be good even if you didn't now the guys name was Dipstick Penis....did I spell that correctly ?
