As one JF was crowned 2017 World Champ, another JF got bounced off the Championship Tour. Two time World Junior Champ Jack Freestone finished 30th on the CT and failed to secure a finish on the QS thereby leaving his competitive career in limbo. Fellow Queenslander Ethan Ewing also got bounced but there's a general consensus about Ewing's return to the top tier. Not so with Freestone. Fella got hitched and fathered a scion so the singular focus that's required to requalify is brought into question.

He's still putting out great clips but...

I just watched that hey stu!
He is outrageous! The Michelangelo of the air world.. No one is landing consistent technical airs the way he is..
Putting a life in a wheel chair on hold at every attempt and landing of those corked out moves.
At any point one of those extended airs control could be completely lost and he could be sent head first from 20 feet up in to shallows
No idea how he does this so often.
Balls of steel.

Don't know why they'd bother keeping Ulua (trevs) when they are bringing kegs like that 'fin onboard.

30people feast comes to mind..... Aslo as bad as it sounds as I am a advocate of catch and release..
Unless your rich a standard day of fishing.. Parking, ramp fees, bait tackle and fuel can easy get into that 150-200$ range if your serious.... May as well get your supermarket fish fillet to fuel ratios right..

the turn at 1:20 did it for me...

warp speed out of the barrel, ribs coming up the face, sand & foam on the face making fin release & spinout more likely, and he pretty much goes off the back of the shoulder at the top of the turn. probably the most critical place to throw all your weight behind a layback

Aye. It's a full rotation turn but he keeps tracking down the line with speed.

May not have been the best competitor but he's a technically briliant surfer.
