Work your way past the "what does surfing mean to you" pretext and what you'll find here is a sweet li'l vid on tenacious Taswegian, Marti Paradisis. Marti came onto the scene at the same time as a bunch of other surfers including Mikey Brennan, the Hollmer-Cross brothers, and Danny Griffiths, amongst others. They owned Shippies each time it broke and made regular excursions to more remote big wave spots in Tassie.

As good as Marti is in the heavy water, it's his versatility in all manner of waves that's allowed his career to endure where his peers have slipped from the spotlight. This short flick captures that quality, showing Marti in all type of waves from wedgey beachbreaks, to elongated pipes, and the obligatory Shippies bombs, of course.
