Russell Bierke takes Ireland by storm - dropping into fierce Irish barrels and icy green slabs along the coast of the wave rich emerald isle. Also features Nelson Cloarec, Adrian Fernandez, Peony Knight & Kit Innes.
A fantastic clip, I really enjoyed it. Amazing how popular surfing is in Ireland now. My parents were Irish and I first visited in 1985 and no one surfed then.Unfortunately I did not take my board as I was backpacking in Ireland, UK and Europe. There was a strong surfing community in Cornwall, England but to my knowledge at that time surfing had not yet made its way across the Irish Sea. My mum was from County Clare, now famous for breaks like Lahinch and Spanish Point.
