Natxo Gonzalez in Ireland - video
Swellnet readers will know that we're shameless cheerleaders for Natxo Gonzalez. Fella was unknown out of his home coast when he stormed the Punta Galea Challenge four years back and asserted himself among the hairiest chests in big wave surfing. Ol' Natxo has since expanded his repertoire, stuffing his jailhouse striped boards into all manner of waves: from perfect Skeleton Bay, to big Mataveri, and now slabbing Ireland. In fact all those vids have been shown on Swellnet in just the past week.

Bless that little island!
And cheers to the film-maker for ditching slow-motion on a number of those big waves. Far more thrilling to see how fast the surfers actually travel, how quickly they have to react, and how hard they crash

Nice find - one of my favourites this year. Great part of the world too - you'll never know what you might find just around the next headland.
That drop @3:50 was hectic.
Poor bastards 3 Guns got the Alex Gray treatment.
