Take a sideways look at Desert Point. Usually shot from on land, Diogo D'orey slips on the flippers and gets the water angle which may not capture the sheer breadth of the wave but highlights how deep the surfers are from section to section.
Deserts never really seems to capture its elements on film to me...you really need to surf it and be in the water to get the full understanding of the wave...a bit like G-Land too...footage never really does it justice.
Mason Ho flying by at around 2:00 was really cool though.

Yes - you cant tell how sharp that reef is from videos...or how you hit bottom almost every post barrel straighten out ( not to mention wipeout)....
