Box set from Sunday - photos

Swellnet Dispatch

After being teased with a Box confirmation on Saturday morning the location call for the Margs Pro was quickly changed as the swell rapidly increased. As the the Box got overpowered by the energy Mainbreak made for an entertaining alternative, what with ten feet of swell, light offshores, and John John giving us the view from a blue moon.

Then yesterday morning all eyes were cast across the bay as Commissioner KP monitored the Box from close quarters. Again he deliberated, but just like Saturday the interest was temporary as the wave proved incontestable.

Of course it was hollow, and dazzling too with the match of sheer drops and clear blue water, yet it was ultimately incompatible with thirty minute heats.

Still, in short bursts it was bewitching.
