Alex Gray's Moroccan point of view - video
Did you see the Moroccan Gold video with Alex Gray mining a wild African right?
And did you notice he had a GoPro affixed to his kisser?
And lastly, did you wonder when that footage would surface..?
Well wonder no more...

What a wave! Skip straight to 3:34 if you also hate slow-mo.
Thank you sprout you saved me 3 minutes of my life.
The crowd factor was good.
Wonder what the distance travelled was ?
bloody hell .... red boards!
Que?
Stu, don't be coy, surely you know red boards go better!
Tell me about it...
You have a serious addiction there sir .......
Goodness, that'd do me.
That was mesmerising.
Wow. check out this on youtube (Channel Islands "Peregrine Groveler" Surfboard review by Noel Salas Ep. 9) has that GPS tracker on the nose and it also tells you how high your air was and how long you were in the air with all the other perks. How crazy would it be for barrel time and girth no more mates shutting you down....................
Looks insane! I'm in Morocco next month. Any body know the odds of scoring waves like this? Every thing I've read online says it's gonna be flat and blown out but you never know right...?
That was an abnormally large swell, Josh. The biggest of the year thus far. You're going a touch late in the season but there's still an opportunity for swell though perhaps not of that magnitude.
Thanks for the extra info Stu. I'm heading over around 20th of April so hopefully not too late.
My main concerns are the winds as I'll be surfing between Taghazout and Essoruire and I've heard that part of the coast gets blown out around that time of the year.... Fingers crossed for some off shore winds! Thanks again
Safi needs a big swell, but the points farther south don't. You could well score.
Thanks Island Bay!
I'm heading south so fingers crossed!
@josh canalini
You should probably take a water purifier/ morocco is pretty darn sketchy in the water department.
Not sure if i have ever felt sicker than when i was trying to score waves like this.
take care and stay safe.
Thanks Lanky Dean!
Good call, I think I might do just that.
Cheers
Josh C
Stu hahah are you kidding me! That is a fine collection of red surfboards.. well done!
R.i.p to the two snapped soldiers
