Pacifico - video
Told from the perspective of two average punters who quit their jobs and simply wanted to go on an adventure. Pacifico follows a two-year road trip from California to Patagonia hunting for empty waves, fly-fishing remote waters & trekking The Andes.
From dreamy sand bottom points in Mexico, cobble stone rights in El Salvador and A-frame beachies in Nicaragua the film then heads for a month in the Galapagos, sharing the water with surfing sea lions, iguanas and a host of other wildlife. The adventure steps up a gear in South America where the vast coastline and surrounding wilderness provide the perfect setting for exploration.
Although the hope of finding good waves drives the narrative, Pacifico also gives a real sense of travelling through the fascinating countries along the way. It’s a great insight into life on the road with an entire continent as your backyard. The diversity of landscapes, waves and culture keeps the journey intriguing and stirs a desire to hit the road.
The Pacifico crowd-funding campaign has 10 days left and is calling on support to get the film finished. Preorder a copy now for $15 and help get this independent surf film across the line: http://bit.ly/pacificofilm
The film also aims to make a tangible difference in the environmental crisis. Planting 10 trees with every copy sold, the hope is to plant 100,000 trees in partnership with The Eden Projects. The trees will be planted in Madagascar, working with local communities, to fight the disaster of extensive deforestation.
