Stunning waves, colour and angle...but Tim's videos always annoy me. Slow motion is done to death and seems lazy to me: cut the length of the video in half, or put more footage in. The gnarly slabs that are shot would be done more justice without slow motion. The ability of the surfers adjusting to those rapid changes in the wave would really shine through

See how nice it is when a wave isn't named ......

That's why I act like such a cock on other threads , Goofyfoot.

You know the ones.

To name is to diminish somehow.

It empowers those that have no stake or experience in a spot to treat it as a commodity.

I'm a self policing cock.

You've often identified waves I've mentioned or posted photos of.

The fact that I've mentioned or posted photos , whilst denying their existance is what makes me a cock.

Yeah, i think I have learn't my lesson by indicating the name of a spot. But the weird thing is I know that the places i have named, everyone knows those places & in most cases it a life threatening reef, so I do think that anybody to going to think that its going to turn into the new Super Bank. If they want to give it a try, i am happy to get there shot. As it does makes entertaining viewing either way. I also think that people do like to see the boys at there spot ripping, so I like to include all, not just the names.
And re the slow mo Jimmy. I have thing in what i do, that if the music is chill out, expect lots of slow mo action. & dolphins if there around. But if, 'there doing a wing ding on a wang dang' as Eddie Rothman told me in a recent interview then maybe I will choose a faster tempo music without the slow mo included.

Heh, could you have included the other blokes surfing this spot day. It was a good day and you've got the right gear.
Given its location it ain't secret, really.

When you have 4 minutes to fit every better shot in you kind of run out of space but just to let you know Brad Whittaker is doing a long form of my footage so I'll post it on my Swell Chasers Facebook site.
Its not about the gear its about the time you have available.

You'd be suprised Tim.

You're very much on the inside of the loop regarding surfers with knowledge of breaks. Most of the people you associate with are paid to know the locality of spots, including yourself.

A lot of the waves you film, such as this one , are very achievable for a competent surfer.

The world is full of competent surfers looking for a thrilling ride, names and location shots just cruel the fun for everyone that dares to dream of an uncrowded session in these crowded times.

Love your films. You're were even a nice bloke when I met you. Good luck living the life.

Beautiful video.
Any chance on a re-release of WaterSlaughter? It has the best kneeboard surfing footage of the era. There is not much footage of kneelos as it is. This missing material leaves a big hole in kneelo history

Looking forward to it. Well done TimB. With that place a few ducks had to line up. They did that morning. It's a quality spot so city centric - interesting.

On the East coast at the moment....tiny swell, pumping fly blown off shores as fires raged in the hinterland.

Sure feels like summer.

Watched as a Euro tourist couple were joined on the beach by a couple of overheated grey Roos this arvo. They lost their shit as skippy and his mate bounded clean into the Shorey to cool down.

Two tourists, two Roos - the only crew on the beach .

They lost their shit.

Put a smile on our faces too.

Australia rules.
