Tim Stevenson. That name ring a bell..? If it does, and you live outside of Torquay, it's probably because Tim won the Bells Trials this year and surfed in the main event.
Fella got the whole deal: personal locker, a flash rash vest with his name on it, and a post-heat meeting with Rosy Hodge. That came after he was beaten by Italo Ferreira in Round 2 while sitting on a 4.00. He did, however, best Michel Bourez in their three man Round One heat, which is quite the claim for a heavy hoof surfer such as Tim.
Here's a collection of footage from around home and Indo. First wave is a killer but make sure you stick around for the session that begins around 2:30 and closes out the clip. Big heavy stuff.

f$cking awesome. the thing i really like about the last session in this vid, and the aritz aranburu nias vid (also f$cking awesome), is u get to see the paddle in and drop. the dan vardy lombok vid (also f$cking awesome) has the paddle ins and drops edited out. really takes away from the vid and sells short the ability of the surfer and the difficulty of the waves imo.
