Mr Winston - video
We had a solid run of Tropical Cyclone Winston videos last week, so many videos in fact that we ostensibly ran the 'last' Winston vid to say goodbye and start looking forward again.
...and then this vid from Harry Young arrived in the inbox. Shot at the same reef as another vid from last week, it features many of the same surfers: Whippy, Russ Bierke, Sean Mawson, and a hospital ward full of unknown chargers with little regard for keeping their spine intact.
Fortunately this wave is a rare one, regular sessions would surely raise the probablity of injury into dangerous territory.

Crazy stuff from some serious chargers. I thought tow ins were banned when they were that close to paddle crew. What gives? Pretty dangerous.
that wave's barely paddlable at 4ft maybe they were waiting for a sling?

Must have been some awesome waves else where down there.......that lefts dangerous cant see the point,even the boogers were having a hard time.
