Duranbah comes to Israel - video
As we speak - type, read, whatever - the SEAT Pro in Netanya, Israel, is running. From all reports they've had a tidy little swell in Netanya, however the better waves have been down the coast at Dromi Beach, a set up not unlike D'Bah with a breakwall on its flank and shifting wedges to chase down. Good likelihood of getting run over too.
Says videographer Noam Eshel: "While the WSL Contest in Netanya was running, all the losers came to the Dromi beach to score perfect waves. Here's the clip from the high performance session, which I really enjoyed filming!"

Doesn't look half bad. Some flashes of talent there too.
makes a nice change from israel shelling beaches. keep up the good work
*photo deleted by admin - keep that stuff out of the comments mate, not on*
Yeah Chook,
There's 2 Reasons I love the ocean 1) Surfing
2) The Ocean separates Beautiful Australia from the Worlds Crap.
Keep those photos to yourself you grub.
Chook mate, i'm all for having an opinion and such but kids read this site too and that pic is a bit rough.
Just sayin'.
touche, zen!!!!
we should all thank israel, as there is now one less kid able to log onto swellent and see such horrors.
Fair enogh man, there's no denying that. Just think there's a time and place for everything and this isn't it imo.
Agreed. Chook...mate, do you really think you'll change someone's mind, persuade them to think otherwise by taking that approach?
Have a think about it.
I have my views on ME politics, some of them may surprise you, but draw a line and understand when your words could make a difference and when they're merely gratuitous.
Was surprised to see a comp on in Israel , more from the perspective that the WSL is fairly risk averse these days.
The competitors were from many countries , there are no official barriers to having or entering a competition , still in the current political climate it was a choice I thought was interesting.
Broken the rules there chook, no graphic images illustrating Israelis love of killing children, they just want their beach back so they can have a wsl event. Thanks for the censorship swellnet.
No worries Tim. I gave my explanation above. But please note that we do accept true-as-unicorns conspiracy theories such as your recent PNG one.
Carry on...
A blown up fucking little kid, that has to be hidden, and a line or tarp put around them. Its all legal anyway. That's real, honest progress, plus the line might be long lasting epoxy. I like that you openly care, and obviously think about those things chook. But, the kids are better off without the truth, if even adults can't handle it. Just like the Nungas. Just give them some 'history' lessons.
that israeli crowd looks like a blast.
I didnt see the photo, but kids and everybody else would benefit from the truth. There is a massive imbalance in Israel. How we get to reveal the TRUTH, now that is another question.
I still can't believe you can get waves in the Mediteranean
As you've been quickly and professionally told, the 'line' around that little kid, that tiny, little innocent person, who's now merely a convenient deletion, is well and truly drawn gnomen. The force field is up. The TRUTH is, that's that tiny little kid's story, well that's his... story.
Does anyone really think that a picture of a dead child on a surfing website - I'll emphasise that point, a surfing website - is going to politicise the neutral or cause others to forgo their viewpoints?
The depth of feeling that surrounds this issue. The assumed positions, sandbagged by years and years of debate. The opinions expressed so forcefully there's no room for nuance or compromise.
And you think a photo shown without context on a surfing website will change that?
We're not shy of politics at Swellnet. We've run more political articles than every surf site combined and the forums are full of poltical argy bargy from all sides of the political spectrum. Rhetoric is fine but we don't have time to police every comment for graphic photos of dead children or the people who try and justify it.
