Not really that big a day is it? Big cameras, Big crowd, big kookouts, big hasslers, big egos with their go pro selfie sticks but still squatting to fit in the barell. At least the local guys were bringing some flow to the clip. Sadly a pretty typical lineup for Indo these days. Everybody hassling to take photos of themselves "Paradise lost at Lacerations" maybe a better title?
As soon as I see someone with a go pro strapped to their head or sticking out of their gob it just screams "I am an egomanic/fuckwit who will be paddling around you very shortly, so I can film myself"

Hahahha good call, Hit the nail on the head there.
The gopro look at me people are similar now days to a baby sucking on a dummy.
Happened today just chilling out on a beachie no-one around, old mate gets dropped off by the taxi (FFS) with a fluorescent dummy gopro sticking out of his mouth.Paddles straight over hassles the fuck, let him get a wave, then he got some footage of me the next wave straight out of his gob.....!

Ohh yeah then he had a whinge, but the funny thing is I couldn't understand him whilst whinging with a dummy in his mouth.

I guess they mean for Lacerations its been about 15 years since I've been there, but from memory to get to this size it would be a very solid swell running Shipwrecks would be huge on a swell like this probably closing out.

Agree on the go pro thing.

Yes! I've seen crews of very very average surfers come for a surf trip to Indo and have two cameras on them at any one time: Go Pro on the board, taking turns sitting on the beach filming. Why? It's great that there is always one less bloke in the water... Bit annoying to see a shithouse video of fame-hungry surfers doing their best to direct everyone to the break. What does it achieve?
