Slow precision - video
During the recent run of swell on the Gold Coast filmmmaker Tim Bonython flew in and trained his lens at the Superbank and Duranbah. While shooting D'bah Tim set his Sony F5 camera at 180 frames per second to give us a close look at some slow precision surfing. This clip features Jordy Smith, Davey Cathels, Matt Banting, Mick Fanning, and more.

Hey guys - could you not disable the player controls on YouTube embeds?
I hate to bitch as I love this site, but it's kinda annoying when you watch something like jordy's wrap to reo and then want to skip back a little and re watch it again in all it's slo-mo glory! It's also hard to send the link and tell ya mate to check the action at 0:20 when you can't see the timeline.
While not an internet mogul, I understand there may be advantage to possibly not lose traffic clicking off to YouTube by disabling (?) Or is there another reason?

Thanks for your consideration,
Steve
That might just be the most polite piece of advice we've ever received Steve! And for that I've set the player controls just for you.
I'll also try and set them as default.
While you're at it Stu, would you mind doing it for me too?
Pretty please;)
Should have checked first- Done! Cheers.
Nice work TB.
Nice to see some big hits drawn out to appreciate every individual moment.
As unhip as it sounds, I liked Jordy's cutty the most. G Forces to make Maverick go into a flat spin.
Totally. That turn was the highlight.
After a few frames you can see how much speed he must have had going in to it.
