Ghost Wave: The hunt for the biggest wave never surfed - video
So here's an offbeat concept. A computer company, Hewlett-Packard, throws money at a couple of surfers to find the largest wave never surfed. Ian Walsh and Twiggy Baker don't question the rationale but instead start scouring the Earth for unsummitted mounts with just the smallest amount of product placement thrown into the mix.
Taylor Steele is behind the lens so you know the final product is slick.

"...One of the funnest projects I have ever been part of...". I'm sure it was, but I hope they collected their rubbish after the fireworks and left the beach the way they found it.
I grew up with Twiggy.... Good bloke, really good bloke.
Good on them if they are the first but I am a bit skeptical that a big wave on West Coast of SA is an unridden spot! Ever single km of the Cape west coast has been checked by plenty of surfers!
Hey Burger, They are surfing a wave that someone has never surfed before, heaps of of nobody's like you and me have probably surfed it, but not SOMEBODY'S like them, let's face it a spot hasn't really been surfed till it's been documented by a sponsored team.
You just don't know, I'm a bit sceptical as well. They should have shown us on the chart where it is if no one has surfed it, and if it was off the beaten track as they said, with all the known waves around the world giving away the place would not have been any big deal. Wonder if they paid the African guy to say he has not seen anyone surfing her at all for 43 years. If it is true you can't prove it either way so I will give them the benefit of the doubt. The last wave was really a nice easy size and GLASSY.
Great documentary, awesome footage and well put together.
What is the X360 player...?
It looked like they had SN Wams with wave heights on the lap top...? Same colours.
I noticed they were doning on their life vests under their wetsuits, then when they were sitting in the water together, it looked like they had no life vests on...?
Waaaaaay over-gunned. By a foot, minimum.
I get a privacy setting unable to open clip?
