On Saturday May 7, North Wollongong Christian Surfers will be holding a 15-20km paddle from North Wollongong to Thirroul to raise money for the sponsorship of five children through Compassion Australia.

This is the 11th Annual Paddleathon. Each year for the past ten years we've raised funds to feed, house and educate the entire way through school five kids from impoverished countries. This year we'll embark on a new commitment to five more children.

Any extra funds raised will go to the continuing relief effort in Japan after their devastating earthquake and tsunami through the organisation CRASH. We invite everyone to join us in the paddle and you can use craft as diverse as SUP's, wave skis and surf rescue boards. Help us show that surfers care!

Meet 7am at Wollongong Harbour. For more information visit http://www.paddleathon.com or contact Aaron Hughes on 04 0367 2452 or [email protected]. //AARON HUGHES
