Mark Pridmore is the head shaper of MORE Surfboards, based on the Sunshine Coast. In the past he's proven himself to be a web-savvy operator, using internet forums to link surfers and send his designs on country-wide test missions. The most famous of these was the Fat Bat which did a lap of the nation and was ridden by hundreds of surfers.

For the latest round Mark has decided to turn off the computer and meet surfers face-to-face. He's having a board testing day on Australia Day and here are the details...

I'm having a Surfboard Testing Day at Maroochydore (Pierce Park) on the Sunshine Coast this Australia Day. Anyone interested can try one (or MORE ) of a dozen or so boards that will be there to ride. Most designs will be hybrids and slightly alternative shapes. Amongst others there'll be a mini-Simmons, semi-fish quads and semi-finless boards on offer. Anyone interested in trying something fun and different should head on down around 7.30 am. I'll be MORE than happy to chat about your next board or suggest fin options or absolutely anything surfboard related - just come on down and have a look and a few waves too (hopefully there'll be some ). Hope to see ya there.
